Comedic actress Yvette Nicole Brown is the face (and mouth!) behind this year’s “Laugh Out Loud” campaign with Colgate Total®. We caught up with her to learn why she is so passionate to spread the word about the importance of oral health for people with diabetes. What is the “Laugh Out Loud” campaign? People with diabetes have a higher risk of developing gum disease. To raise awareness of the potential link between oral health and diabetes, I’m partnering with Colgate Total and the American Diabetes Association® for the “Laugh Out Loud” campaign. In celebration of National Dental Hygiene Month in October and American Diabetes Month® in November, we want to remind people that sometimes laughter can be the best medicine. We’ll be bringing LOL-worthy moments to Americans living with diabetes, all while building awareness of the importance of maintaining the health of the teeth and gums behinds our smiles. Why did you get involved in this campaign? As a comedic actress living with diabetes, I understand that managing the disease isn’t always easy.
